With over a decade of experience at Boston Retail Solutions, Louie Fuentes has worn many hats here at BRS — and now leads as the General Manager of our Arizona Service Center. His journey from installer to GM is a powerful example of growth, grit, and going where the work takes you.
🚧 From Installer to Manager
Louie joined BRS over 10 years ago, starting as an installer at our original Arizona Service Center. His early role quickly evolved — from Lead Installer in Arizona, to Senior Lead Installer on the road, where he traveled the country tackling complex projects wherever help was needed. His position became unique as we closed the doors of his
Between 2023 and 2024, after years of hands-on experience and leadership in the field, Louie officially stepped into the role of General Manager. He helped re-launch the Arizona Service Center, bringing his deep knowledge and team-first mindset back home.
Louie starts each day ready to roll. Whether it's reviewing changes in the calendar, touching base with the team, visiting properties, or working through updates with his project manager, his day is driven by communication and action. "I’m always checking in — what’s changed, where do we need to step up, and how can we serve the customer better?” he says.
He truly thrives in the fast-paced nature of the work and is always looking for ways to contribute. “If there’s something that can be done, I’ll find it,” he says. That might mean helping with big projects across the country, traveling to support other service centers, going out on jobs with his team when they need an extra hand, or diving into mall visits for the week – Louie doesn’t sit still!
"If I can count on anyone, It's Louie", says Kyle Carlisle, Regional Manager. "He and his team will jump into anything, at any time, anywhere. The Arizona guys have helped us get through countless jams, last minute projects and always show up with a good attitude."
When it comes to standout projects in his 10+ years with us, Louie has a few favorites. One was the massive project at Westfield Valley Fair Mall in San Jose, CA. The property was opening a new wing and needed it covered in floor to ceiling barricades…. fast (of course). It took a village of colleagues working together – and that’s exactly what they did. “Something I’ll never forget!”, he shared.
Another project in Louie’s career was the whirlwind Target rollout across Los Angeles — known internally as “LA 25.” “We knocked out 25 Target locations across the city in record time,” Louie recalls. “It’s always exciting to work with big-name brands, but what made this project unforgettable was the team experience.”
The BRS crew went all-in — custom-branding box trucks, flying in team members from across the country, and staying together at the same hotel for the duration of the rollout. “There was such a strong sense of unity,” Louie says. “We worked hard, supported each other, and really soaked in experience. It left a lasting impression on me.”
Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you Louie’s strength is his steady support. “My leadership style is through example and influence. I do my best to not overstep or micromanage, but offer solutions, ” he says. He takes pride in his work, approaches challenges with calm confidence, and earns trust through action. The Arizona team holds themselves to a high standard with executing jobs and partnering with other colleagues, and that’s all driven by expectations Louie sets as the leader.
Director of Field Operations, Mike Kelleher, shares "Lou is a true inspiration for what we want and desire in any young employee. He has traveled the country with BRS, overcome many obstacles and has risen from the installer level all the way up to a GM, and now leads a team of young professionals along their journey". Louie's dedication to BRS, his own personal growth and development and his supporting his colleagues is what has excelled his career and given leadership confidence in his abilities.
Beyond work, Louie is all about family. A proud father to a four-year-old daughter (with a son on the way!), he’s happiest when surrounded by loved ones. “My mom, brother, and sister all live nearby — keeping family close is important to me.”
He’s also passionate about fitness, spending time outdoors, and playing sports like baseball and basketball. “I love being outside, which is convenient for living in Arizona", he shares.
For Louie, the best part of BRS is the energy. “We move fast, we adapt, and we make smart decisions. That kind of momentum keeps things exciting,” he says. He appreciates the team culture they’ve built within their team in Arizona — one built on mutual respect, support, and accountability. “We’ve worked hard to create a space where people feel welcome and supported. Everyone always jumps in to help, simply because that’s what we do", he shares. "People make it out to be so hard… and it’s really not – just set an example, be helpful, support your colleagues and then it gets fun!"
His advice to new team members? “Be open. You might not know everything — I certainly didn’t — but jump in and try. Ask questions. Take every opportunity you can. People will invest in you if you’re willing to learn.”
Thank you, Louie, for being you! We are proud of your career accomplishments thus far and can't wait to see your continued impacts on our business.
