Meet Joslyn Martinez!

To kick off 2025, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Joslyn Martinez, our talented BigWraps Project Coordinator for the Northeast region.

Tell us about your role at BRS:

Joslyn just celebrated her one-year anniversary with BRS, and in her words, “it feels like I’ve been here a lot longer—but in the best possible way.” As a Project Coordinator, her role involves a mix of coordination, problem-solving, and what she affectionately calls “schedule Jenga,” ensuring that projects run smoothly for her colleagues and clients.

A typical day for Joslyn is anything but predictable. From checking weather conditions for upcoming installations to coordinating with colleagues like Didier and our installers, no two days are the same. She thrives on the challenges that come her way, explaining, “In some twisted way, I find it fun and exciting—I love these challenges!”

The Project Coordinator role is about collaboration and problem-solving: “If we struggle finding the answer, we find the solution together. Everyone at BRS is willing to help, and I always feel supported.”

Tell us about yourself:

Outside of work, Joslyn is creative with a love for art, drawing, and painting. She also cherishes spending time with her family, especially her cousins’ kids, whom she adores.

A Disney fanatic and Harry Potter lover, she enjoys taking her mom to Disney and soaking in the joy of people from all over the world coming together. She’s also a foodie, always on the hunt for hidden gem restaurants, especially tacos, with her friends.

Her professional journey includes time in TV production as a casting associate for shows like The Voice, Food Network shows and other reality TV programs, as well as working at Apple Retail. Reflecting on her Apple experience, she credits it with teaching her invaluable customer service skills and the art of diffusing tough situations—a skill that serves her well at BRS.

What inspires you most at BRS?

For Joslyn,  it’s the company culture, trust, and empowerment that BRS fosters among its employees. She admires the company’s reputation for delivering not just results, but expertise noting “The trust our clients have in us needs to always be fostered.”

Her role also provides her with purpose and fulfillment. She values the knowledge she’s gained from her manager, teammates, other departments, and all the external partners she works with. She’s always learning something new!

What’s been your favorite project at BRS?

Joslyn shared about the fast-paced nature of Lululemon rollouts as some of the highlights of her time at BRS so far. “One project that sticks out was shortly after I started and is where I quickly became immersed into the world of barricade banners. There was a whole new checks and balances system at play with more moving parts than window graphic jobs”. This was her introduction to the various components of a barricade banner – materials needed, paint, wood trim, Keder Rail, tools, town permits, GC clearance, confirmation, etc.

Joslyn said it was an all-hands-on deck job that could have been overwhelming, but everyone worked together so well – Katherine, Skylar, Didier, Leo, Mango, our installers and her. “It was a fun learning experience, but even better, the client was over the moon with the finished product.”

What is your genius at BRS?

Schedule Jenga! Joslyn’s talent for adapting and adjusting plans while keeping everything running seamlessly has become her superpower—and something she truly enjoys! This quarter, she was nominated for this Employee Spotlight by her colleague Lauren from Account Management, who quickly highlighted Joslyn’s impressive “Schedule Jenga” skills.

What’s it like to work at BRS?

For Joslyn, the people make all the difference. “I love working here! It’s not just about the team at BRS, which is incredible, but also the external resources and sub-contractors I work with. Building those relationships is so rewarding.”

She speaks fondly of her dynamic with Didier, describing their collaboration as a true partnership where they learn from and empower each other. Her appreciation extends to the entire team, whom she describes as a “wonderful, dysfunctional family.”

Pictured below, you can see the Christmas stockings Joslyn provided for her team this year, noting: “there are so many small things you can do to make everyone’s job and work environment more enjoyable. Those are the small things I love to do for my team."

Joslyn’s admiration for her team is easily reciprocated by her colleagues. When asking Didier, the Regional Graphic Installer, what it’s like to work with Joslyn, he shared:Since the first day of her training, she's put her best effort to learn, do things right and get the job done. She always goes the extra mile to keep everybody happy. To this day, she is a very good friend and coworker, and I don't see my North East Region without her.”

Separately, her supervisor Leo stated: “She checks all the qualities of an ideal employee!”

Joslyn, you are a special part of this team!

What advice would you give to new team members?

“Be flexible. You might want to control everything, but chances are, many things will be out of your control. Lean on your team.”

She credits mentors like Kathleen Bailey, Leo Garcia and Didier Fernandez as key influences in her successful journey so far.

Joslyn – thank you for being you! Your passion for what you do at BRS is so encouraging. We are lucky to have you on our team!
